Douglas Fir + Old-growth Cedar
"As each of my guitars is built, I'd like to think I give it life"--- Zi Guitar

Douglas Fir
Douglas fir's rugged, unpretentious character reminded me of the raw soul of Texas blues and Stevie Ray Vaughan's playing. That connection inspired this telecaster: a Douglas fir top paired with an American black walnut body and a one-piece 5A roasted flame maple neck, with warmth and clarity in mind. A figured walnut pickguard and control plate echo the body, with translucent blue-green resin highlighting the wood's natural voids. Porter pickups and brass hardware complete the design--the brass hardware will develop its own patina over time, adding character to an instrument rooted in natural beauty and the Blues.
